The Sežana College of Materials Design (VSOM) has formally completed the incorporation process by registering with the Slovenian Business Register, has formally completed the establishment process and created the conditions for operational activities. This is an important milestone confirming the institutional establishment of a new higher education institution in the region.
Based on the decision of the District Court in Koper, the institution was entered into the court register on May 8, 2024, and subsequently into the register of AJPES, thereby acquiring the status of an independent legal entity. VSOM operates in Sežana as an institution and represents a new educational and development center in the field of materials design.
Connection to the Economy
The founder of VSOM is Inkubator d.o.o. Sežana, which enables a direct link between education, development, and the needs of the economy. This structure enables the development of a modern learning environment based on practical work, collaboration with companies, and the transfer of knowledge to the real world.
Significance for the Region’s Development
The establishment of VSOM represents an important step toward the development of higher education in the Karst and the wider Primorska region.
The school contributes to the development of new professionals who combine design, materials, and modern technologies and respond to market needs.
