Students may be granted recognition of previously acquired and non-formally acquired knowledge.
VSOM enables full-time and part-time students to obtain recognition for knowledge, skills, and competencies acquired prior to enrollment or during their studies, whether through formal education, non-formal learning, or experiential learning (e.g., work in companies, professional internships, projects, training).
Recognition is based on an assessment of the comparability of the acquired knowledge with the learning outcomes of the study program or individual courses. The process is initiated upon the student’s application and is conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, the VSOM Statute, study programs, and the institution’s internal regulations.
Recognized knowledge may replace part of the study requirements for full-time and part-time students, provided that the prescribed conditions are met.
The Commission for Academic Affairs decides on the recognition of prior and non-formal learning based on applications submitted through the VIS system.
