This is a rare example of a modern new construction incorporating a massive entrance portal made of Karst limestone, representing a significant contribution to the preservation and reinterpretation of the Slovenian cultural landscape.<br \/>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=\u201d1\/2\u2033][vc_column_text css=\u201d\u201d]\n<h3 data-start=\"674\" data-end=\"715\">Stone, Architecture, and the Story of Space<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"717\" data-end=\"1000\">The project client, <a href=\"https:\/\/februs.si\/kontakt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sre\u010dko Brus<\/a>, invited the dean of VSOM, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/anton.marn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anton Marn<\/a>, a local architect and expert on the cultural landscape, to assist with the planning of the portal. On behalf of VSOM Se\u017eana, he prepared the project concept, thereby laying the groundwork for collaboration between experts and students.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1002\" data-end=\"1030\">The following also contributed to the implementation:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1115\">\n<li data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1071\">\n<p data-start=\"1033\" data-end=\"1071\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spelasedivy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u0160pela \u0160edivy \u2013 Stone Sculptures<\/a>,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1072\" data-end=\"1115\">\n<p data-start=\"1074\" data-end=\"1115\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/martin.kandido\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Martin Kandido, sculptor and designer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1220\">Both artists carved numerous details that have imbued the portal with timeless elegance and local character.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u201d1\/2\u2033][vc_single_image image=\u201d1344\u2033 img_size=\u201dfull\u201d css=\u201d\u201d][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=\u201d\u201d]\n<h3 data-start=\"1222\" data-end=\"1287\">The Kalce Stone Portal: A Bridge Between the Past and the Future<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1520\">The Kalce stone portal project demonstrates that it is possible to combine contemporary needs with artisanal heritage. Massive Karst limestone is not merely a building material, but also an expression of respect for the space, tradition, and natural resources. Such projects represent the essence of the VSOM curriculum\u2014design that transcends aesthetics and has a strong cultural, spatial, and sustainable impact.
