Material Design Study Program<\/strong><\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=\u201d\u201d]The first-cycle higher education professional study program Material Design<\/em> combines technical and artistic knowledge with an emphasis on innovative approaches to designing various materials. The program is interdisciplinary, aiming to equip students for creative and technologically advanced design of products from natural and artificial materials. <\/p>\n

The program enables students to develop a wide range of knowledge \u2013 from art theory, aesthetics, art and design history to modern digital technologies, material science, design planning, and practical work. Special emphasis is placed on connecting creativity, technology, and sustainable development. <\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=\u201d\u201d]\n

Duration of Study & Location<\/strong><\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=\u201d\u201d]The Material Design study program lasts 3 years or 6 semesters and comprises 180 ECTS credits. The program is conducted at two locations in Se\u017eana: Kra\u0161ka ulica 2 and Cesta na Lenivec 21.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=\u201d\u201d]\n

Study Specializations<\/strong><\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=\u201d\u201d]\n

In the first year of study, the program is uniform, after which students choose one of two specializations: Stone Design or 3D Design.<\/p>\n

The Stone Design<\/strong> specialization focuses on traditional and modern stone processing techniques, the use of digital tools, and sustainable approaches to design. Students develop Design Thinking, learn about geology and mineral materials, and acquire practical knowledge in stone processing techniques and technologies. <\/p>\n

The program also allows for specialization in specific areas, such as conservation and restoration, jewelry design, the use of 3D technologies in stone, and the development of unique design solutions that combine aesthetics, functionality, and innovation.<\/p>\n

The 3D Design<\/strong> specialization is focused on modern digital design methods, 3D modeling, and computer-aided design and manufacturing. Students gain in-depth knowledge of CAD, CAM, and CAE technologies and are trained in digital prototyping, the use of advanced manufacturing technologies, and the development of innovative products. <\/p>\n

The program includes interdisciplinary approaches that connect creative industries, digital manufacturing, and modern design processes, enabling students to develop their own design orientations.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=\u201d\u201d]\n

Professional Practice and Industry Collaboration<\/strong><\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=\u201d\u201d]\n

Professional practice is an important part of the study process in all three years. Students apply their knowledge to concrete projects in collaboration with companies, design studios, workshops, and other organizations. This practice enables direct contact with the work environment, the development of professional competencies, and the establishment of long-term collaborations with employers. <\/p>\n
